Lifestyle newborn photography sessions are the perfect way to document the details of your brand new baby. Come as you are -- no need for props or themed outfits, the goal of a lifestyle baby session is to document real and tender moments that focus on the essence of your growing family, just as it is.
Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home and focus on natural, baby-led poses, where baby settles naturally into your arms, crib or bed, but of course, I'll be there to offer gentle guidance along the way.
I cannot thank Liz enough. She paid such close attention to detail and made our photos look so dreamy and heavenly! These are more than just beautiful pictures to me..they’re the kind of pictures that will help take me back when I’m reminiscing on “the good olé days” in 30 years.

As a mom of three myself, I am constantly inspired by motherhood and the profound connection that we have with our children.
And I can tell you first-hand that time slips by faster than you can ever be prepared for. Our babies grow and change day-to-day, week-to-week and month-to-month. And in the {beautiful} chaos of it all, we sometimes don't even realize it's happening until we look back at our photos.
Then you're suddenly taken back to how tiny your baby felt in your arms, the softness of their skin, and the tiny fingers and toes you counted over and over again. You recall the first time you looked in their eyes, feeling a love so pure it left you breathless.
And for this, I feel incredibly privileged to be able to document these fleeting moments for you and help create lasting memories. As your newborn or family photographer, my goal is not only to give you beautiful photos, but to help you turn your cherished memories into tangible, heirloom artwork that can be enjoyed for years to come.

Three-ish weeks after your session, I’ll email you a link to see all of your beautifully finished photos and purchase your Collection. Choose from three Collections – each with a number of Digitals as well as an Artwork Credit.
I have worked hard to source only the best, heirloom quality artwork so you can rest assured knowing your investment will not only be so stunning, but also stand the test of time.

We will meet during Golden Hour (the hour before sunset) for outdoor sessions, or mid-morning for indoor sessions. Just show up as you are, ready to love on your family, and I'll take it from there.
While I always try to get at least one "everyone smiling at the camera" photo, my goal is to catch those sweet in-between moments that are special and meaningful and tell the story of your family.

After your session is booked, you'll receive a detailed Style Guide to help you plan what to wear. Or, Mama’s and littles are welcome to borrow from the Client Wardrobe!
You'll also receive an Artwork Catalog so you can start thinking about what you’d like for Artwork. Choose from a gorgeous Layflat Album (client fav), frame your favorite photo, or we can work together to create a custom wall gallery!

Babies grow and change in the blink of an eye. Never miss a moment by joining The First Year Collective -- a membership that offers significant savings for multiple sessions and is the perfect way to document your baby and all of their sweet details, starting in pregnancy and throughout their first year.
Most mom's choose to document a maternity, newborn, 6 and 12 month session, but you can select 2-4 sessions from any combination of maternity, hospital fresh 48, newborn, 3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, or 12 month sessions.

When is the best time to book a Madison baby photography session?
I have a client wardrobe with over 60 dresses for mom to choose from, as well as a growing wardrobe for little ones. We’ll work together to coordinate your family’s wardrobe so you can rest assured knowing everyone will look and feel their best.
Do you help us figure out what to wear?
Is there a discount if I book a maternity and newborn session?
Typically within the first two weeks of birth since that’s when baby is still extra sleepy and snuggly but anytime in that first month can work!
How soon after birth should we do our newborn session?
Yes! I strive to offer the best of the best to my clients, and I know that quality photography services are an investment. Together we can find a payment plan that works for your family.
I do! Sessions taking place in Madison and its immediate surrounding areas such as Cottage Grove, Sun Prairie, Deforest, Waunakee, Middleton, Verona, Fitchburg, McFarland do not require a travel fee, however, sessions taking place more than 20 miles from my home on the east side of Madison will be assessed a mileage fee. Be sure to mention this on your Contact Form and we'll chat more about specifics!

My personal favorite is the velvet albums. I love that you can print so many photos from your session and enjoy them over and over again. Not to mention, the velvets are absolutely stunning and such a unique statement piece. But I also smile every time I walk past the framed portraits on the walls in my home. Every family is unique! And I can’t wait to help you decide the best way to enjoy your photos in your home!
