Pregnancy isn’t always easy, or glamorous, but the profound connection we have with our babies, even in pregnancy, is nothing short of a miracle and deserves to be celebrated.
Maternity sessions are a time to take in and appreciate your growing family, so we’ll capture sweet moments with your loved ones as well as your growing belly. As your Madison maternity photographer, my goal is not only to give you beautiful photos, but to turn your cherished memories into tangible, heirloom artwork that you’ll enjoy for many years to come.
Maternity sessions always take place during Golden Hour – the hour before the sun sets. This is when the light is soft and glowy (and also the most flattering) and can give your images some extra magic. Maternity sessions take place on-location at one of my favorite outdoor spots around the Madison area.

As a mom of three myself, I am constantly inspired by motherhood and the profound connection that we have with our children.
And I can tell you first-hand that time slips by faster than you can ever be prepared for. Our babies grow and change day-to-day, week-to-week and month-to-month. And in the {beautiful} chaos of it all, we sometimes don't even realize it's happening until we look back at our photos.
Then you're suddenly taken back to how tiny your baby felt in your arms, the softness of their skin, and the tiny fingers and toes you counted over and over again. You recall the first time you looked in their eyes, feeling a love so pure it left you breathless.
And for this, I feel incredibly privileged to be able to capture these fleeting moments for you and help create lasting memories. Three-ish weeks after your session, I’ll email you a link to see all of your beautifully finished photos and purchase your Collection. Choose from three Collections – each with a number of Digitals as well as an Artwork Credit.
I have worked hard to source only the best, heirloom quality artwork so you can rest assured knowing your investment will not only be so stunning, but also stand the test of time.

We will meet during Golden Hour (the hour before sunset) for outdoor sessions, or mid-morning for indoor sessions. Just show up as you are, ready to love on your family, and I'll take it from there.
While I always try to get at least one "everyone smiling at the camera" photo, my goal is to catch those sweet in-between moments that are special and meaningful and tell the story of your family.

After your session is booked, you'll receive a detailed Style Guide to help you plan what to wear. Or, Mama’s and littles are welcome to borrow from the Client Wardrobe!
You'll also receive an Artwork Catalog so you can start thinking about what you’d like for Artwork. Choose from a gorgeous Layflat Album (client fav), frame your favorite photo, or we can work together to create a custom wall gallery!

Most mom's choose to document a Madison maternity photography session, newborn, 6 and 12 month session, but you can select 2-4 sessions from any combination of maternity, hospital fresh 48, newborn, 3 mo, 6 mo, 9 mo, or 12 month sessions.

As early in your pregnancy as possible! Madison maternity photography sessions can book out months in advance so reach out as soon as you’re considering a maternity session for up-to-date availability. Typically around 33 weeks works well. First Year Collective members receive priority access to my calendar.

When is the best time to book a madison maternity photography session?
Yes! I have a client wardrobe with over 70 dresses for mom to choose from, as well as a growing wardrobe for little ones. Or, since I understand everyone has their own style, I know you may want to style your own family and that’s also great! I have helpful styling resources you can take and make your own, so together we’ll coordinate your family’s wardrobe so you can rest assured knowing everyone will look and feel their best.

I personally love the Layflat albums. I love that you can print so many photos from your session and enjoy them over and over again. Not to mention, the cover material and design options are absolutely stunning and such a unique statement piece. But I also smile every time I walk past the framed portraits on the walls in my home. Every family is unique! And I can’t wait to help you decide the best way to enjoy your photos in your home!
